And more good news – Raymarine have agreed to supply some of the most important kit on the boat. They’re going to provide our GPS chartplotter, instrumentation and AIS radar transceiver. So now we’ll now where we’re going, how we’re doing and be detectable by the commercial shipping that poses a big threat to us. Fiona Pankhurst at Raymarine has been a star, and we’re very, very excited to have Raymarine on board!

More sponsor news! Savills of Chester are supplying the money we need to buy all of the flares for the boat. We have to take quite a few, all mandated by the race organisers. Savills have saved us almost £400, and we’re grateful to Alex Horne for arranging their involvement.

Just had a great phone call with Australian company Plasmatronics, who’ve agreed to supply the charge controller we need to connect our solar panels to our main batteries. Today we have a meeting with Sharp Solar to discuss the spec of the panels themselves. It’s going to be a good day!
