Sponsor news! Wild West Foods have joined the project today. They import top quality beef jerky, and are going to be giving us all we need for the boat. Sounds like a minor deal, but when you consider that we 250 bags of the stuff, this amounts to a saving of over £1000. Which means £1000 more for charity. Top stuff!

torpedalo: RT @JohnBurnComp: Great meeting at Bentley with Mike & Mark. Very fetching in their special suits for the body scanning, special indeed …

Crazy day today! Logistical stuff this morning, followed by a great meeting with key project sponsors John Burn Ltd. The afternoon saw the return of the Gimp Suit for some body scanning in our pedaling position, and Martin and Mark from Lion Eyes TV were here to capture everything on film. All in all, pretty productive!

torpedalo: RT @LionEyesTv: Thanks to @torpedalo for our word of the day ‘wanging’ as in ‘wanging around on a pedalo…

Yesterday afternoon saw another sponsor deal agreed – Buck & Hickman are going to provide the mandatory tool kit that we need for the boat, plus some other items on our ever-smaller list of outstanding items to source. Torpedalo HQ continues to get busier and busier – we’re now developing the plans for the first local …public launch of the project, which will be in October, and tomorrow Lion Eyes TV are here for more filming.
