Norco GRP have agreed to make all of the carbon fibre mouldings that will form the Torpedalo boat, and then bond them together to form the boat itself. In the Spring of 2011 we’ll supply them with materials and moulds, and 6 weeks later they’ll deliver a completed boat!

Curvature are our major machining supplier, and will be cutting a male pattern mould tool of the top deck of the boat. On top of this, they’ll machine the mould tool for the stern cap. These are the tools that Norco will use to make the boat sections upper and rear boat sections.

MonsterCAM is Curvature Group’s sister company, and will be following their lead by machining the main hull mould tool. This tool is eight metres long, over two metres wide and over a metre tall, so it’s no small piece of work! Norco will use this tool to make the female mould for the main hull.

The considerable quantity of machinable tooling foam for the construction of the master mould tools to build the Torpedalo.
